In 1997 TWRF formally extended its mission to include the female victims of increasing domestic violence. It has since provided them services ranging from case management, legal advice, referral and sheltering, to psychological counseling, group guidance, economic subsidies, and resource linking. TWRF’s efforts in preventing domestic violence have also included continuing education, amendments to the Domestic Violence Law, policy monitoring and implementation, and work toward the eventual breakdown of traditionally patriarchal social values.
